Our international channel programme is designed to accommodate various levels of partnership, from our entry-level Authorised Reseller opportunity, through Silver, Gold and Platinum Business Partnerships. Sage Pastel International Business Partner’s have the opportunity to build and develop their own reseller channels within the country in which they are based, and to provide essential services such as support, consulting and training to their reseller channels.
The Sage Pastel International channel program incorporates channel fees, accreditation requirements and associated benefits.

How to become a Sage Pastel CONSULTANT
Thank you for your interest in becoming an Accredited Consultant for Sage Pastel Accounting Software. Our channel strategy is focused on forming close business relationships with quality organisations and individuals who wish to grow their consulting businesses by providing quality software solutions to the Small Medium Enterprise market.

For systems consultants who do not necessarily wish to make Sage Pastel an integral part of their business, an alternative status of Sage Pastel Forum Member exists. Sage Pastel Forum Member status is conveyed to anyone who purchases a Sage Pastel Forum Member Starter Kit, in order to familiarise themselves with the Sage Pastel product range. Normally a Sage Pastel Advisor works in conjunction with a local Sage Pastel Gold Consultant or Sage Pastel Business Partner.
Similarly, accountants in practice who do not wish to become Accredited Sage Pastel Consultants may simply join as a Sage Pastel Forum Member. This Forum ensures that they are kept up-to-date with the latest versions of our software and receive relevant news about Sage Pastel and the accounting software industry in general. Accountant Forum members are required to work with their local qualified Accredited Sage Pastel Consultant (with similar referral fees) where clients require a Sage Pastel solution.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL ACCREDITED Sage Pastel CONSULTANT PROFILE?
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a proven competence to implement accounting software and provide related services. The skill set, whether possessed by one or preferably more than one person must include basic accounting knowledge together with a good practical knowledge of Windows peer-to-peer and server based operating systems.
In addition the consultant must be able to analyse the client’s needs and present a comprehensive package to their client to include the supply, installation and appropriate implementation of Sage Pastel and the training and support of users.
While we do not insist that the consultant refrains from selling competing products, we do want the consultant to show a commitment of resources to the Sage Pastel component of their business and we set a minimum annual turnover level to maintain Accredited Sage Pastel Consultant status. This is set at a standard basic for year one and will be agreed annually thereafter.

We will promote the Sage Pastel brand nationwide to professional accountants and business managers in the small and medium business sector and consultants will be promoted via an active Sage Pastel web presence.
